“Meet your new Star Trek villain: Benicio Del Toro. Variety reports that J.J. Abrams is expected to offer Del Toro the job, possibly this weekend. Sources say Del Toro has met with Abrams about the gig, but in an effort to keep it a secret, Del Toro still doesn’t know exactly what the role is. Abrams will start production on the Star Trek sequel early next year.”
