Speaking to The Sundance Channel, the actor opens up on his role in “The Dark Knight Rises.”

Q: There’s a quote in the DARK KNIGHT RISES trailer that Hathaway whispers into Bruce Wayne’s ear: “You and your friends better batten down the hatches because when it hits, you’re all going to wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.” Between that, and the scenes of people protesting on the streets, people are gathering it has Occupy Wall Street themes.

A: Yup! I know. You saw it, man. The trailer isn’t misleading and Nolan’s not the type of guy to create a trailer that will sell you something other than what the movie is.”

Elizabeth Olsen Is The Real Deal.

Or so says The Guardian, which profiles the youngest, and currently, coolest of the Olsen sisters:

Here’s the nut graf(s):

“Growing up in LA, she saw acting as an unremarkable career option, and after school she moved to New York to study drama. Did she feel the need to distance herself from her sisters? “I felt it significantly when I was starting college. I really wanted to prove all these things, so I overcompensated.” In her second year she juggled being a full-time student with working as understudy (not a diva-ish gig). “Basically I had no social life.” What was she trying to prove? “That I’m here because I worked to be here. All those complexes.” She giggles.

Spending a term studying in Moscow helped: “When I came back I just felt more relaxed and in my skin and OK about it all. I think it comes as you get a bit older – you’re okay with who you are and where you come from. And I’m so close to my family so why would I have a complex about them? When they’re great people and good to me.”

She’d been auditioning for six months when she met writer/director Sean Durkin, who was looking for an unknown actor to star in his film debut. “I had never seen a young female character this interesting in a film,” says Olsen. They started shooting three weeks later. Durkin is part of the three-man (all under 30) Brooklyn collective Borderline Films (sensibility: Altman meets Haneke).

Is “Chronicle” Director Josh Trask in Line To Direct “X-Men” Sequel?

Already mentioned as a possibility to helm a reboot of the “Fantastic Four,” reports are surfacing that the suits at Fox are eyeing up “Chronicle” director Josh Trask for the sequel to last year’s “X-Men: First Class.”

ComicBookMovie has a chunk of a Q&A conducted with Brit film site HeyUGuys:

“If there was a US version of Akira, Chronicle would be it – would you make one?

Josh Trank: After Zack Snyder’s Dawn of the Dead, I stopped judging remakes. Who knows?

Will you be doing Fantastic Four or X-Men?

Josh Trank: It’s a little weird, as I knew this movie would work, but it’s been surprising how everyone’s responded. I have been working on some original ideas and things are being talking about, but nothing’s a signed deal yet.

Who’s your favourite comic-book character?

Josh Trank: Batman – Frank Miller is my favourite writer as I grew up with the Tim Burton Batman.

Spielberg To Get His Moses On With “Gods and Kings.”

The folks at /Film report that the famed director is nearing a deal to shoot what’s being described as a “gritty” reimagining of the Old Testament tale of the Israelites’ exodus from Egypt:

“Gods and Kings would follow Moses from his adoption in infancy to the acquisition of the Ten Commandments. It is written by Stuart Hazeldine (Paradise Lost) and Michael Green, a writer on Green Lantern and TV show The River.

Reporting on the project, Deadline emphasizes that Gods and Kings is not being developed as a 3D film. That shouldn’t surprise anyone who has been paying attention to Spielberg’s recent comments about film and 3D. He has said he’ll continue to shoot live-action on film until the last lab is closed, and unless he wanted to post-convert a project, that precludes using 3D. (Shooting native 3D requires the use of digital cameras.)

Spielberg’s schedule wouldn’t clear until 2013 to begin working on the project, /Film notes. Presumably it would look a whole lot different from the Cecil B. DeMille holiday standard “The Ten Commandments.”

New “Dark Knight Rises” Image Shows Bane’s Battle Scars.

Here’s yet another teaser image from “The Dark Knight Rises,” this time showing some of the battle scars sported by the villainous Bane (Tom Hardy).

TotalFilm notes:

“Presumably, the neck scar is linked to the painkilling apparatus worn by the man-mountain, hinting at some form of spinal injury suffered in the past.

In any case, it only serves to enhance Nolan’s claims that Bane will provide the kind of physical threat that Batman has yet to encounter thoughout the first two films of the trilogy.”

From BritFilm site HeyUGuys comes this news from veteran actressJenny Agutter, who has a small role in the movie:

Having just admitted that she was only allowed to see a copy of the script once on set, having been sworn to secrecy (better luck next time, Marvel), the actress, who plays a council woman in the upcoming movie, passingly alluded to two nearby Winnebagos, one belonging to Iron Man and the other to…Spider-man.

Wow …
