“Silent House” Trailer Revealed.

Via UK film site HeyUGuys, here’s the trailer for “Silent House,” a new horror film that’s supposed to be one, continuous take.

They write:

“On the cinematically positive side you’ve got the immersion that one single unbroken take can provide. It’s like real life if real life involved a lot of heavily choreographed movements, intricate steadycam shots, accommodating set designs and a load of stickers on the floor to tell you where to stand. One long unbroken shot can really elevate a scene from a simple exercise in film making into something dramatically interesting and technically astounding at the same time. Anyone who’s ever watched Children of Men with any sort of focus would surely attest to the sheer mind melting awesomeness of its (admittedly digitally stitched together) indulgences.”

Here’s the trailer:

UK “Bourne Legacy” Poster Revealed.

Here’s the UK poster for the latest installment in the spy saga based on the Sidney Sheldon novels.

Avengers” actor Jeremy Renner picks up for Matt Damon. Rachel Weisz also stars.

Here’s the synopsis:

“The fourth installment of the highly successful Bourne series sees the return of the franchise’s screenwriter, Tony Gilroy, this time stepping into the director’s seat for an entry which sidelines main character Jason Bourne in order to focus on a fellow estranged assassin (Jeremy Renner). Edward Norton and Rachel Weisz co-star, with Joan Allen and Albert Finney reprising their roles from the previous films.”

First Look: Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones in “Men in Black III”

From Brit film site HeyUGuys:

They have this to say about the eagerly anticipated (by someone) third installment in the sci-fi/comedy series:

“Just a few days ago, we got our first look at Jemaine Clement, the main villain in the upcoming sci-fi action comedy, Men in Black III, which revealed the nasty-looking alien we can look forward to seeing on the big screen this year. If the first trailer is anything to go by, it’s going to be so much fun.

The first film was released way back in 1997, and was followed five years later by the sequel in 2002. This time around, a decade has passed since the last film, but the excitement and anticipation for it hasn’t diminished whatsoever.”

It hasn’t? They saw the second movie, right?

Batman Is An Existentialist In “The Dark Knight Rises.”

From IO9. This is too amazingly, awesomely weird not to share:

“The French newspaper Libération is reporting that Batman will, at some point in his final film, read aloud an excerpt from philosopher Martin Heidegger’s 1929 lecture “What Is Metaphysics?” Admittedly, there’s no source given for this particular rumor, so I guess we really should go ahead and take this with a grain of salt.”

So that’s why he wears black!

And here’s a radio interview with actor Matthew Modine, who plays a villain/hero/Green Lantern in the movie. His role is tres mysteriouse …

Lily Collins Joins “Evil Dead” Remake.

And, /Film, asks does that make the “Mirror Mirror” star the new Bruce Campbell?

“The first actual cast member for the remake of Sam Raimi‘s The Evil Dead has been announced: Lily Collins, she of the starring role in Tarsem’s Hallmark Channel-looking Snow White film Mirror, Mirror. From what we know of this new version of Raimi’s story, it seems like Collins will be playing one of the most prominent characters, probably even the lead role.”
